Ever notice how your internet feels lightning fast one moment and painfully slow the next? You might immediately blame your internet provider, but most of the time, the issue is actually inside your home.
Wi-Fi is like a conversation happening in a crowded room. The farther you are from the speaker; or the more walls, devices, and interference in between, the harder it is to hear clearly. Streaming TVs, phones, gaming systems, and even smart doorbells all compete for that same signal.
Here are a few simple steps that make a real difference:
Place your router in a central, open location (not a basement or closet)
Restart your router once a month
Avoid placing routers near microwaves or thick walls
Use wired connections for TVs or work computers when possible
Upgrade old routers. Many are outdated after 4–5 years
Technology should make life easier, not more frustrating. When you understand how your home tech works, you regain control and confidence. At T3 Computing, we believe knowledge is just as powerful as the tools themselves.
